Cây Xoài là loài cây có lá xanh quanh năm, cây dễ trồng và dễ chăm sóc, thích hợp để trồng làm cây công trình, cây bóng mát và cây trang trí sân vườn tại các khu đô thị, công viên, vừa tạo cảnh quan đẹp, vừa cho quả ăn ngon.
Hiện nay, cây Xoài rất được ưa chuộng trong các công trình cảnh quan, thường xuyên thấy cây ở các dự án xây dựng, các khu dân cư và công trình mới.
Thông tin cây Xoài:
– Tên thông thường: Xoài
– Tên khoa học: Mangifera indica L.
– Tên tiếng Anh: Mango
– Họ thực vật: Anacardiaceae (họ Đào lộn hột)
– Nguồn gốc xuất xứ: miền Đông Ấn Độ, các vùng giáp ranh như Malay, Việt Nam, Lào…
Đặc điểm hình thái của cây Xoài
+ Xoài là loài cây thân gỗ lớn, cao từ 2-10m, nếu trồng ở nơi thoáng rộng thì cây càng cao và xòe tán rộng.
+ Cây Xoài mọc khỏe, sinh trưởng nhanh, rễ đâm sâu từ 0 – 50cm, phạm vi cách gốc cây khoảng 2 m. Rễ có nhiệm vụ cố định cây, hút nước và chất dinh dưỡng nuôi cây.
+ Lá Xoài là lá đơn, mọc so le và thuôn dài. Mặt trên lá nhẵn bóng, xanh đậm, mặt dưới xanh nhạt, lá có gân chính cùng với hệ thống gân phụ hình xương.
+ Hoa của cây xoài mọc thành từng dài khoảng 30cm, mỗi chùm đều có cả hoa đực và hoa lưỡng tính, trung bình khoảng 200 – 400 hoa. Tỷ lệ hoa đực và hoa lưỡng tính trên cây phụ thuộc vào giống cây và điều kiện khí hậu ở vùng đó.
+ Quả Xoài thuộc dạng quả hạch, hình thận, cứng và có thớ sợi. Khi còn non quả có màu xanh lá, xanh ngọc hoặc màu trắng xanh, khi chín chuyển sang màu vàng hấp dẫn, vị chua ngọt với mùi thơm ưa thích.
Công dụng của cây xoài:
– Xoài có chứa rất nhiều Vitamin và khoáng chất cần thiết cho cơ thể: Vitamin C, A, vitamin nhóm B, E, đồng, magie, kali,… Các nguyên tố này sẽ giúp làm sáng mắt, tăng cường hệ miễn dịch, tăng cường sức khỏe sinh lý và hỗ trợ hệ bài tiết,…
Ngoài ra, trong xoài chứa nhiều lợi khuẩn rất tốt cho hệ tiêu hóa.
– Xoài có chứa nhiều hợp chất chống oxy hóa mạnh như: quercetin, isoquercitrin, fisetin, methylgallat, astragalin, axit gallic… giúp ngăn ngừa sự hình thành các gốc tự do, làm chậm quá trình lão hóa và ngăn ngừa ung thư.
– Hàm lượng cao vitamin C, pectin và chất xơ trong xoài có tác dụng giảm nồng độ cholesterol trong huyết thanh, giúp cải thiện tình trạng rối loạn mỡ trong máu.
Cách chăm sóc cho cây xoài:
– Đất trồng:
Xoài có thể trồng được trên nhiều loại đất khác nhau, chỉ cần chọn loại đất tơi xốp, thoát nước tốt và không bị nhiễm mặn là đã có thể trồng được các giống xoài.
– Tưới nước
Yêu cầu về lượng nước tưới khá cao vì cây xoài là loài cây nhiệt đới. Khi mới trồng cần tưới định kỳ 2 ngày/ lần.
Vào thời kỳ ra hoa và mới trồng, cây cần tưới nhiều nước nhất.
– Bón phân
Tùy vào sức khỏe của xoài và độ dinh dưỡng có trong đất mà tiến hành bón phân sao cho phù hợp nhất.
– Tỉa cành, tạo tán
Khoảng tháng thứ 5 sau khi trồng, bạn tiến hành cắt tỉa tạo tán cho cây, bấm ngọn những cành chính để tạo cành cấp 1, giữ lại 2-3 chồi theo hướng tỏa đều để chăm sóc tiếp.
Nếu như khoảng cách trồng rộng rãi, bạn có thể cắt tỉa tiếp những cành cấp 2-3 tùy ý, vì càng nhiều cành thì cây càng ra quả nhiều hơn.
– Quản lý sâu bệnh hại:
Cần thường xuyên quan sát và nhanh chóng phát hiện những dấu hiệu bệnh bất thường xuất hiện trên cây để xử lý kịp thời.
