Cây sala hay còn được gọi là cây vô ưu, cây ngọc kỳ lân, cây ưu đam với hoa màu cam pha lẫn đỏ hồng sặc sỡ thường được trồng ở những nơi thanh tịnh hay đền chùa do gắn liền với sự tích Đức Phật Thích Ca. Chính nhờ vẻ đẹp của này mà rất nhiều người yêu thích cây sala.
Đặc điểm cây sala
Cây sala còn có tên gọi khác như cây Ngọc Kỳ Lân, cây Đầu Lân hay cây ưu đam, là loại cây có tên khoa học Couroupita guianensis, có nguồn gốc từ Nam Mỹ. Sala sinh trưởng phát triển trong khí hậu nhiệt đới tại lưu vực sông Amazon, miền nam dãy núi Hy Lạp và ngày càng trở nên phổ biến ở Nam Á và Đông Nam Á.
Cây sala là loại cây thân gỗ, có kích thước lớn, cây có thể cao từ 20 – 35cm tùy vào độ tuổi của cây. Cây có hoa mọc từ gốc lên, tại phần thân của cây, chùm hoa dài với các bông hoa có kích thước khá lớn, chùm hoa có thể dài lên đến 3m. Hoa có màu cam pha đỏ hồng đặc trưng thường nở vào tháng 2 – tháng 5 hằng năm, ban đêm thì hoa lại tỏa ra một mùi hương thơm mát, thư giãn. Quả của cây có hình tròn, màu nâu sẫm, có kích thước từ 14 – 25cm, chứa hạt bên trong.
Chính nhờ vào sắc hoa này cũng như ý nghĩa tâm linh có từ lâu đời mà cây sala thường được trồng ở các ngôi đền, chùa.

Sala có tác dụng chữa bệnh
Cây sala chữa bệnh gì? Theo nhiều nghiên cứu thì trong cây có chứa một số chất có tác dụng kháng sinh tốt, có khả năng sát khuẩn cao, chống nấm. Và được sử dụng hỗ trợ điều trị các bệnh như đau dạ dày, cảm,… Ngoài ra, lá sala còn giúp điều trị các bệnh về da: dị ứng, mẩn ngứa, mụn,…

Cách trồng và nhân giống sala
Sala là loại cây thân gỗ lâu năm sinh trưởng và phát triển tốt trong điều kiện khí hậu tự nhiên. Tuy nhiên, để có được cây đẹp như ý muốn thì bạn nên lưu ý cách trồng sau. Sala là loại cây ưa sáng nên bạn nên lựa chọn những nơi thoáng mát, để cây có thể sinh trưởng và phát triển, bên cạnh đó hạn chế trồng cây ở trước nhà, ở gần tường vì tán cây rộng sẽ ảnh hưởng đến phong thủy của ngôi nhà.
Bạn có thể nhân giống cây bằng cách gieo hạt, chiết cành hoặc mua bầu giống. Bầu giống sau khi mua về thì bỏ lớp vỏ bọc phía ngoài, không nên bỏ lớp đất sẽ khiến cho cây dễ bị héo, chậm phát triển. Lựa chọn không gian thoáng mát, đào hố sâu khoảng 20cm, sau đó phủ phía dưới một lớp đất xốp trộn với phân hóa học để cây có thêm chất dinh dưỡng.
Cây sau khi trồng bạn nên cho phủ đất cao hơn bầu khoảng 1 – 2cm, và nhấn chặt đất để cây không bị đổ trong điều kiện thời tiết gió. Sau khoảng từ 3 năm đầu tiên, cây có thể cao đạt từ 3 – 5m (tùy vào loại cây mà bạn lựa chọn gieo trồng đầu mùa), và sau khoảng 10 năm thì cây sẽ ra hoa rất đẹp.
Kỹ thuật chăm sóc sala
Sala là loại cây lâu năm, không kén chọn môi trường nên rất dễ chăm sóc. Tuy nhiên bạn có thể lưu ý một vài điều sau đây:
Cung cấp chất dinh dưỡng:
Khác với những cây trồng trong nhà khác thì cây sala không yêu cầu quá nhiều về dinh dưỡng. Nếu như những cây cảnh thông thường yêu cầu phải cung cấp chất dinh dưỡng từ 2 -3 tháng/lần thì đối với sala thì bạn chỉ cần bón phân khoảng 2 lần/năm để cây có thêm dưỡng chất.
Tưới nước thường xuyên:
Mặc dù không yêu cầu cao về chất dinh dưỡng nhưng bạn nên thường xuyên tưới nước cho cây, nhất là với những cây non mới trồng. Bạn nên tưới nước thường xuyên để cây có thể sinh trưởng và phát triển tốt hơn.
Phòng ngừa sâu bệnh:
Trong khoảng những năm đầu, khi cây chưa phát triển tốt thì bạn nên lưu ý sâu bệnh tấn không cây. Có một vài loại sâu bệnh như: đục thân, sâu ăn lá, rày nâu,….Vì thế mà bạn cần lưu ý quan sát và phun thuốc kịp thời, tránh cây bị hư hại quá nhiều.
